Abstract: This review provides a summary of what is known on the stratigraphic
distribution of Triassic Ammonoidea in the Arctic, Pacific, Tethys, Germanic
and Sephardic regions.  Pacific and Tethys faunas have much in common through-
out the Triassic. Arctic faunas are comparable with those of the Pacific at many
levels but show some provincialism in the Middle Triassic and the Carnian.  The
Middle Triassic faunas of the Germanic and Sephardic regions are mostly pro-
  vincial.
