The evolution of the Cyclolobinae followed several divergent trends. Our observations suggest that in ist phylogeny then conservative lineage (Demarezites – Changhsingoceras) and the three progressive ones (Demarezites – Waagenoceras – Cyclolobus (with the primitive Persulcatum and advancwed Walkeri groups), Waagenoceras – Timorites, and possibly Demarezites – Mexicoceras - ? Para, exicoceras) can be recognized. Since almost all cyclobid genera and their immediate ancesters were formed originally in low latitudes, just near the paleoequador, areals of all cyclolobid ammonoid genere in their complete reflect apparantly the location of mainly paleoequatorial realms.
