Type species: Pseudohalorites subglobosus Yabe, 1928, p.20 [OD].

[Zhou, 1985, p.190:Shell involute and subglobular, with a very narrow or closed umbilicus. Surface marked in the early
ontogenetic stage with a series of constrictions (so-called "constriction-stage"), but in the late stage with strong
transverse ribs, which form a broad and shallow sinus on the venter. At maturity siphuncle subcentral or within dorsal septal
flexure. External lobe ceratitic; internal lobes undivided.].
