[Zhao et al., 1978]: Shell varies from evolute to moderately
involute, discoidal to lenticular in shape. Venter varies from
acute on the inner whorls to fastigate with keel or flat on the
last volution. Lateral sides strongly flattened, ornamented with
fine ribs in early stage, changing to moderately strong, with
terminal nodes on the ventolateral portion, and tend to become
weak or obscure on the last volution. Suture line ceratitic.
