Type species - Eurites latus Kusina, 1973

Shell usually large, from subspheroconic to pachyconic, strongly involute. Umbilicus from moderately narrow to narrow. Transverse striae forming a ventral sinus, in some species also a weak lateral sinus. Sometimes with weak spirals. Ventral lobe very narrow, deep, with straight parallel sides. Median saddle is lower than 1/4 of the depth of the ventral lobe. Lateral lobe sometimes deeper than ventral.

Differs from Muensteroceras in shell shape, primarily by the wider whorls (at Dm = 45-55 mm, WW/Dm = 0.68-0.78 instead of 0.39-0.47) and in that the lateral lobe is often deeper than the ventral lobe.
