Rather small conch, reaching a conch diameter or up to 50 mm. Early whorls subinvolute, slight closure or the umbilicus in juvenile stages smaller than 4 mm conch diameter. Narrow or moderately narrow and trapezoidal external lobe (EL w/d = 0.65-1.00; EL/AL= 1.45-1.60) and moderately low median saddle (MS h = 0.38-0.50): ventrolateral saddle narrowly rounded, almost symmetric; adventive lobe Y-shaped, asymmetric.

Resembles, in its conch shape and suture line, some species of Progoniatites and Antegoniatites. The ventrolateral saddle is Habadraites is rounded and the conch ontogeny shows an increasing aperture height.
