Holotype - PIN, no.1447/64

"The shell is discoid, moderately involute, with a relatively narrow, rounded venter bordered by longitudinal grooves on the inner whorls, wider, flattened lateral surfaces, and a concave dorsum. The greatest width of the shell is toward the umbilical shoulder. The ventral shoulder is rounded, weakly defined in adults, while the umbilical shoulder is quite sharp, especially in larger specimens. The umbilicus is moderately wide, stepped, bounded by rather high, slightly rounded umbilical walls, without an umbilical opening, as the first whorl is tightly coiled around a rounded protoconch (Fig. 15, k). The last whorl encloses: about half of the previous one." from Boloslovsky (1969)
