Type species: Gonioloboceras asiaticum Librovich,1940, p.177, 301 [OD].

[= Atratoceras LIBROVICH, 1957, p.249, type Gonioloboceras (Milleroceras) atratum LIBROVICH, 1940, p.183; OD (subj.); for
discussion see RUZHENTSEV & BOGOSLOVSKAIA, 1971, p.201].

G: Ventral lobe angular, median saddle about half as high as entire lobe. First lateral saddle subacute or narrowly rounded.
Adventitious lobe acute and deep.

Atratoceras has been erected for forms with constrictions and less angularity of the lobes, regarded herein as of mere specific significance.

[Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1971, p.201: Large, subdiscoidal conch, with completely involute whorls.
Umbilicus from tight to very tight, sculpture consists of thin, double-bended growth lines.  Lirae are absent.
Wide ventral lobe, with parting sides and wedge-shaped elements.  Median saddle of differing height (saddle
height / lobe height ranging from 0.40 to 0.52)  with tops drawn together.  First lateral saddle is quite wide,
rounded at the top in juvenile specimens, sharpened in adults.  Cup-shaped lateral lobe
with its base touching the middle of the corresponding lobe of the preceding septum.]
