Type species: Glatziella helenae Renz, 1914, p.3.

A:   Conch spirally coiled, form discoidal to pachycone; venter broadly rounded with smooth keel; flanks convex; umbilicus
      wide to narrow.
C:   Some species without ribs; usually 20 to 30 simple, coarse
       ribs on flanks.
E:   Two ventral grooves.
G:   Suture consisting on young growth stages of wide ventral lobe, during ontogeny divided by a low, flat median saddle.
Lateral lobe asymmetric, shallowly rounded, situated near umbilical seam; dorsal lobe wide and roundedly V-shaped.

[Sinoglatziella is smooth and thick-discoidal; Liroclymenia differs slightly in the course of the growth lines. These
characters are regarded herein as of specific significance only].
