Type species: Rotodiscoceras asiaticum Chao et Liang, 1966: OD.

[Zhao et al., 1978]: Shell rather large, evolute, discoidal in mature form, varying greatly in the following points: lenticular
in the young stage to discoidal at maturity in shape; whorl section from spear-like in the young stage to pentagonal and
finally to high retangular in the last volution; venter from acute to low roof-like or flat; ventrolateral shoulder from
bluntly arched to angular; sides from gently convex to flat. The surface varies from smooth on the inner whorls to plicate
with terminal nodes at maturity and then weakened on the last whorl. The venter is usually marked with reversed V-shaped plications and low medial ridge. Suture line ceratitic.
