Type species: Kiangsiceras rotule Chao et Liang, 1965.

[Zhao et al., 1978]: Shell rather small, convolute, thickly discoidal. Whorls enlarging rapidly with low helmet-like
cross-section, much wider than high. Venter wide and strongly flattered with a prominent keel at the middle part and two
grooves aside. Lateral sides rather narrow and slightly concave. Umbilicus rather wide bordered by high, steep walls and
highly flared, ear-like rims. Suture line ceratitic, with short ventral lobe and wide lateral lobe. The serrations of the latter is
divided into two parts.
