Type species: Shyndoceras obsoletum Leonova,1983,p.  [OD].

[Leonova, 1989, p. 134]: Adult conch large, pachycone, moderately involute, in early stages cadicone. Umbilicus
stairlike. Lamellae thin salient on lateral side, forming a slight sinus on venter. Thin lirae cross the lamellae on umbilical
wall and umbilical rim, generating a reticulated ornamentation. Ventral lobe moderately wide, divided by a high median
saddle into two thin parts, which are serrated for approx. 2/3 of lobe depth. Five lateral lobes serrated.  First three
moderately widely wedge-shaped, deep, strongly serrated, serrations large, with secondary serration. Fourth lobe
considerably smaller, wide, two-parted. Its external part is large, serrated, the inner part is small, bifid. Fifth lateral
lobe, originally umbilical, and the umbilical lobe are wide, shallower, serrated. Saddles moderately wide. Inner segment
of suture line consists of one dorsal and five inner lateral lobes, the fourth being two-parted.
