Type species: Nepirrites medius Leonova, 1983.

[Leonova, 1989, p. 136]: Conch middle sized, pachycone, moderately involute, umbilicus moderately tight. Thin lamellae
turn forward in the umbilical zone, then turn backwards and form a wide, shallow sinus on the ventral surface. Outer
segment of suture line consists of a wide ventral lobe, divided by a high median saddle into two wide, strongly serrated
parts; five wedge-shaped lobes with elementary serration and an umbilical lobe. Ventral lobe slightly tight at the top, its
prongs deeply serrated somewhat higher than 1/2 lobe depth. Median saddle considerabley widened at the upper part
and is strongly tightened at the middle. Serrations large on all lobes, without secondary serrations. External saddle wide,
divided by the prong of the first lateral lobe almost at the top into two unequal parts; its height equals the next saddle.
