Type species: Ribernites pressulus Leonova, 1983.

[Leonova, 1989, p. 137]: Conch quite large, pachycone, slightly glattened, involute. Umbilicus moderately tight. Outer
part of suture line consists of a moderately wide, quite tight at the front ventral lobe and five lateral lobes, the third and
fourth not completely separate from each other. Ventral lobe divided by  a high median saddle into two parts which are
wide at the middle and the prongs of which are approximated and serrated up to less than half of their height. First three
lateral lobes in general thinly, wedge-shaped, the fourth is wide, divided into two prongs like a large double prong, the
inner one being considerably smaller than the extrenal one. Fifth lateral and umbilical lobes quite tight, moderately deep.
All lobes, except the last two, are serrated with secondary serration. Saddles relatively thin, with rounded tops, all
practically of the same height.
