Type species: Perrimetanites progressus Leonova, 1983, p. 51.

[Leonova, 1989,p. 138]: Conch large, pachycone, involute. Umbilicus moderately tight, stairlike. Suture line consists
of 26 lobes. Ventral lobe very wide; the high (2/3 lobe height) median saddle divides it into two extremely wide,
strongly serrated prongs (back 2/3 of lobe serrated). Lateral lobes in general widely wedgelike, with numerous deep
serrations with secondary serrations. Third and fourth lateral lobes not completely separate from each other, the
dividing saddle being markedly lower than the next. Fifth lobe wide, small, with numerous serrations. Umbilical
segment of suture line extremely heterogenous, it varies from a small, simple lobe, to a wide, five-pronged one.
External saddle notably higher and larger than all others. Dorsal lobe wide, very deep, with complicated serration.
Inner lateral lobes very tight, deep, with numerous serrations.
