Type species: Adrianites fredericksi Emeliantsev, 1929, p.150 [OD].

[Ruzhentsev, 1950, p.202: Neocrimites Ruzhencev 1940:  Conch ball shaped, completely involute, with very tight umbilicus.  Sculpture represented by strongly developed spiral ribs and very soft radial lines, which are slightly bent forward on the siphuncular side.  Siphuncular lobe devided in two thin, sharp prongs.  4 to 7 outer lateral lobes; all thin, tight at the top, sharp at the base.

Neocrimites (Metacrimites) Ruzhentsev, 1950:  4 outer lateral, 3 inner lateral lobes.  First inner lateral lobe connected to first outer lateral, second to second and third outer lobes, third to fourth outer lateral lobe.

Neocrimites (Neocrimites) Ruzhencev 1940:  4 outer and 4 inner lateral lobes.  All inner lobes connected to outer lobes without break].

[Leonova, 1989, p. 163: Neocrimites:] Conch sphaericone to spindle shaped, completely involute, umbilicus tight.  Sculpture reticulated.  Ventral lobe divided into two tight, sharp parts.  External lateral lobes tight, sharp, their number ranging in different species from three to seven.

[Leonova 1989, p.164: Neocrimites (Neocrimites)]: Conch middle sized, sphaericone to spindle shaped, completely involute, umbilicus tight.  Convex venter smoothly curves towards the thin lateral sides.  Sculpture reticulated, spiral elements better expressed.  4 to 6 external lateral lobes, all are tight and sharp at their bases.  Number of inner lobes equals number of external lobes.
