Type species: Parayakutoceras secretum Popov,1970, p.123 [OD].

A:   Conch form thick-discoidal, involute; umbilicus narrow.
F:   Longitudinal lirae faint.
B:   Growth lines with ventral salient at maturity.
G:   Ventral lobe relatively wide, median saddle reaching two third of height of entire ventral lobe.

[Ruzhentsev, 1975, p. 43]: Shell ranging from pachyconic to subdiscoconic. Whorls highly involute. Umbilicus narrow,
triangular in early stages. Sculpture mainly longitudinal, represented by distinct lirae. Ventral lobe fairly broad (wl/hl > 1.0).

Distinguished from other orulganitids, apart from Yakutoglaphyrites, by the discoconic shell, the small umbilicus,
displacement of the triangular stage to the early whorls, and more strongly developed ventral lobe. The differences
between Parayakutoceras and Yakutoglaphyrites are unclear.
