Type species: Luganoceras orientale Popov,1979,p.54 [OD].

A:   Conch form like Wiedeyoceras, but umbilicus very narrow.
G:   Ventral lobe extremely wide, with divergent, almost straight sides; first lateral saddle broadly rounded. Adventitious
        lobe wide and shallow, but pointed.

[Popov's (1979) diagnosis of Luganoceras: Conch pachycone, with tight umbilicus, completely involute.  Cross section
high and semi-elliptical.  Umbilical rim distinct; steinkern smooth, without traces of sculpture.  Ventral lobe very wide with
almost straight parting sides;  first lateral saddle widely rounded; adventitious lobe not deep, rounded,  but pointed at
