[Nishida et al., 1998: Shell flat-discoidal to -subdiscoidal, more or less involute, moderately to narrowly umbilicated
and with rounded, flattened or concave venter and parallel to subparallel, flattened to somewhat convex sides.
Shell smooth or ornamented by transverse ribs or lirae. Suture has a total number of 14 to 32 lobes or more: ventral
lobe invariably trifid; first umbilical lobe (U) moderately wide and invariably bifid and without preferential development
of either one or two subdivisions; second lateral saddle (U1/U1) the highest among saddles; dorsal lobe simple or
bidentate. Some umbilical lobes serrate at the base.]
