Type species: Eolegoceras murgabense Leonova, 1989, p.124 [OD].

[Leonova, 1989, p.123]: Conch middle to large sized, pachycone, evolute, with low and wide whorls, with coarse
radial sculpture in adult stages. Ribs quite wide and convex, well developed on steinkern, form an extremely slight
sinus on the venter. External part of suture line consists of a quite thin ventral lobe (thin prongs and thin median
saddle), a wide first lateral lobe (twice as wide as each prong of ventral lobe, tight at top, with a sharp,
elongated end), a small, asymmetrical second lateral lobe, which widens at the top, and a small, wedge-shaped
umbilical lobe.
