A:   Conch form oval.
G:   Suture line in general like Prolecanites and Metacanites. Upper part of ventral lobe wide,  parallel-sided or divergent;
basic part very narrow, pipe-like.

[Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1971, p.131: Conch discoidal.  Whorls moderately evolute, with elongated-elliptical cross-
section. Umbilicus moderately wide to moderately tight.  Sculpture represented only by growth lines, which form sinuses
on venter and sides.  14 lobes in all.  Venteral lobe short, but with long tubular outgrowth; on its sides are protuberances,
sometimes changing into rounded prongs.  Five umbilical lobes;  first three large, sharp, the others weak, especially the
fifth, which touches the umbilical seam.  Dorsal lobe narrow, deep, slightly bifid at the base.  Inner lateral lobe not large,
somewhat farther from the umbilical seam.]
