Type species: Vanartinskia asiana Ruzhentsev, 1978, p. 42.

[Ruzhentsev, 1978, p. 41]: Shell discoconic, completely involute, with broad sides and narrow venter. Lateral sides
slightly convex in the middle zone and concave on the periphery. Ornament represented by two rows of ventral
tubercles separated by a deep groove. Ventral lobe long, narrow, tricuspid. Outer saddle broad, heavily dissected.
Adventive lobes: two ventral, two apical, three lateral, of which the lower is large, broad, bipartite. Umbilical lobes
13 (to the umbilical border), of which the first six are bicuspid. First umbilical lobe far longer than ventral lobe and
second umbilical lobe.The new genus is very similar to Synartinskia, from which it is distinguished by the larger
number of adventive lobes (seven as against four).
