Type species: Parasicanites meridionalis Leonova, 1985: 78 [OD].

[Leonova & Dmitriyev, 1989]: Conch middle sized, platycone, evolute in juvenile stages, involute and with very tight
umbilicus in adult stages.Lateral sides wide, convex in middle area and concave in peripheral and umbilical areas.
Venter thin, slightly concave, with weakly convex, obliquely oriented nodules. Lateral sides covered by thin, curved
lamellae. Outer segment of suture line consists of a ventral and 14 umbilical lobes- Ventral lobe thin, deep, trifid.
Outer saddle wide and high, with one deep adventiteous lobe on its external side and two on the inner side (the
one on the right extremely large, serrated in complicated fashion). Top of external saddle wide and flat. Base of first
umbilical lobe considerably lower than the ventral and other umbilical lobes. Saddles dividing the umbilical lobes
high, thin, with rounded tops. As a whole, the lateral segment of the suture line is arc-shaped.
