Type species: Physematites charis Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1978, p.162 [OD].

A:   Conch very small, subglobular, completely involute; umbilicus narrow.
B:   Growth lamellae almost rectilinear.
D:   Constrictions may be present on internal mold.
G:   Ventral lobe wide, with divergent sides. Median saddle exceeding half of height of the ventral lobe; basal portion of
ventral prongs rounded. Adventitious lobe deeper and rounded.

[Ruzhentsev et Bogoslovskaya, 1978, p.162: Conch small, sphaericone to subsphaericone.  Whorls completely involute.  Umbilicus tight.  Sculpture radial, represented by sharp, almost straight lamellae.  Constrictions absent on the shell surface, present on the steinkern.  Ventral lobe wide, not deep, with diverging sides and dull prongs (width of lobe/height of lobe approx. 1.5).  Height of median saddle exceeds half lobe height in adult forms.  Side lobe much deeper than ventral lobe, rounded at the base.]
