Type species: Euroceras ellipsoidale Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1971, p.307 [OD].

A:   Conch form involute, with narrow umbilicus.
D:   Constrictions on internal mold, with pronounced ventralsinus.
G:   Ventral lobe rather wide, with wide branches; median saddle reaching 3/4 of height of entire ventral lobe.

[Inner whorls unknown. May belong to Bisatoceratidae and may be junior synonym of Neoglaphyrites; for discussion see NASSICHUK, 1975, p.106].

[Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1971, p.306: Subdiscoidal conch.  Whorls very involute.  Umbilicus from very tight to tight.  Radial sculpture, represented by very thin lamella,  constrictions are only present on the steinkern and are weak.  Lamellar growth lines and constrictions form a quite deep ventral sinus.  Ventral lobe is wide;  lobe width/height approx. 1.35.  Prongs of the ventral lobe are wide.  The height of the median lobe reaches three fourths of the height of the whole lobe.]

[Titus, 2000, p.46: Narrowly umbilicate, compressed forms with wide ventral lobes, swollen, bluntly pointed ventral prongs, and relatively wide first lateral saddles.]
