Type species: Subitoceras sholakense Ruzhentsev & Bogoslovskaia, 1978, p.164 [OD].

A:   Conch form big, subdiscoidal, very involute; umbilicus narrow.
B:   Prominent growth lamellae form a ventral salient on young stages, adult stages exhibit ventral sinus.
D:   No constrictions.
G:   Ventral lobe wide, with almost parallel sides; height of median saddle reaching about 3/4 of entire ventral lobe.
Adventitious lobe wide, shorter than ventral lobe.

[One species known from one locality].

[Ruzhentsev et Bogoslovskaya, 1978, p.163: Conch large, subdiscicone.  Whorls very involute.  Umbilicus tight.
Sculpture radial, represented by lamellae, forming a salient on the ventral side in young specimens, a sinus in adults.
Constrictions absent.  Ventral lobe wide, strongly parted, with almost parallel sides.  Width to height ratio changes
with age within the limits of 0.90 - 1.35.  Median saddle high.  Side lobe wide and somewhat stunted in relation to the
ventral lobe.]
