1985  Yanshinoceras Andrianov: 24.

Type species: Yanshinoceras alexandri Andrianov, 1985, p.24 [OD].

A:   Conch form large, with triangular coiling on all stages except last whorl. Umbilicus moderately wide and triangular
       on early and middle stages.
B,F: Sculpture consisting of irregularly spaced longitudinal lirae and fine transverse striae.
D:   Constrictions on early and middle stages.
G:   Ventral and adventitious lobes comparatively narrow.

[Only type species known, based on two specimens].

[Andrianov 1985, p. 24: Yanshinoceras: Except the last whorls, in almost all stages of morphogeny the conch is triangularly
sphaericone, with triangular coiling.  Conch large. Whorls averagely involute.  Umbilicus  wide, open, distinctly stairstep-like.

Sculpture consists of irregularly placed lirae and slightly developed lines crossing these.  Three constrictions per whorls in
early morphogenetical stages.  They form a ventral and a lateral sinus, which are divided by a salient.  Constrictions
disappear in late growth stages.  Ventral lobe not wide, lateral lobe thin.  Base of umbilical lobe almost coincides with
umbilical rim or is even displaced onto lateral side.]
