Type species: Ningxiaceras brevilobatum Yang, 1987, p.158; OD.

[Yang, 1987, p.171: Conch rather small, thinly lenticular with flattened sides and narrowly rounded or acute venter.
Umbilicus nearly closed. Surface smooth or ornamented by fine growth lines. Sutures goniatitic, with wide ventral
lobe divided by a low median saddle into two short tongue-shaped prongs and a pair of U-shaped lateral lobes.

Similar to Kazakhoceras and Neodimorphoceras in conch shape, but both have a wider ventral lobe with a pair of
long acute prongs and adventitious lobes. Similar to Anthracoceras in suture, but differs frrom that by its thinly lenticular
outline, small umbilicus and long, wide prongs.]

G:   Ventral lobe rather wide, with subparallel sides and with wide and rounded prongs (at diameter = 10 mm). Adventitious lobe about half as deep as ventral lobe and rounded.
