    A: Conch discoidal, involute, umbilicus very narrow. Evolute stage of whorl reduced (only first two-three whorls).
    G:  Suture arch-shaped curvature of the suture on the flank, 6-8 lateral lobes.

Biarmiceras Leonova, Kutygin & Shilovsky, 2005, p. 479 [*Popanoceras tumarense Ruzhentsev, 1961, p. 60; OD] Resembles Mongoloceras in narrow ventral prongs, arched trace of external suture, and dorsad subdivision of third lateral saddle, but distinguishable by nearly closed or very small umbilicus (U/D 0.01-0.13). Lower Permian (Kungurian)-Middle Permian (Roadian): Russia (west Verkhoian, Volga-Urals), Canada (Northwest Territories).
