Abstract-Ammonoids from the Tournaisian-Viséan boundary beds of the northeastern Pai-Khoy and South
Urals are studied.  A new genus Paraqiannanites (with the type species P. boreus sp. nov.), closely related to
Qiannanites Ruan, 1981, is proposed.  Study of the morphogenesis of P. boreus has shown that the type species
of the genus Stenocyclus Schindewolf, 1951 is a juvenile of Paraqiannanites. It is proposed to place this group
and other taxa with a tripartite ventral lobe, provisionally, in the suborder Praeglyphioceratina.  A new species
Pericyclus latumbilicatus is described.  The diagnosis of the genus Polaricyclus Riley is emended, and a new
genus Orthocyclus is proposed (the type species Ammonellipsites ? raricostatus Kusina, 1980).  Two new spe-
cies, P. rileyi and 0. worki are described.  Zhifangoceras karense sp. nov. is shown to be very close to "Gonia-
tites" angustilobatus Schind.  The genus Zhifangoceras first described from China is transferred from the Goni-
  atitidae to the Pericyclidae.
