[Bogoslovsky, 1958, p. 134, Neopharciceras: Conch completely involute, lenticular in shape, with wide, moderately convex lateral walls, which near each other in direction of umbilicus and unite at the very narrow venter. Umbilicus narrow in young specimens and completely closed in adults. Conch surface smooth, covered merely by very thin growth lines, which form a slight sinus on sides and deep sinus on venter of conch. Suture-line characterised by a large number (up to 13-15) outer lateral lobes, which are lanceolate in general; of these, the first five-six are sharpened at the base, the others rounded. Ventral lobe three parted, with short, funnel shaped middle prong and long lanceolate lateral prongs. Inner part of lobe line consists of deep wedge-shaped dorsal and 12-14 not large, in general lanceolate lateral lobes.]
