1971 Stenoglaphyrites Ruzhencev & Bogoslovskaya: 301.

Type species: Cravenoceras involutum Gordon, 1965, p.210 [OD].

A: Conch form like Syngastrioceras or Glaphyrites, but first whorls usually evolute; adult stages with narrow umbilicus.
D: Constrictions may be present on internal mold.
G: Suture like Glaphyrites, adventitious lobe deep and acute, lanceolate or bell-shaped, but not pouched.

[Ruzhencev & Bogoslovskaya, 1971, p.301: Conch not large, subsphaericone to pachycone. Whorls very to completely
involute. Umbilicus tight to very tight. Sculpture is radial, represented by weak, almost straight lamella. Constrictions are
absent on the shell surface, but exist on the steinkern. Ventral lobe is wide, with almost parallel sides. Lobe width/height
approx. 1.15 in young specimens, 0.80-0.90 in adults. Height of medial lobe reaches about half of the whole lobe.]
